This week’s Macworld piece looks at the Zune HD, how much the recording industry hates us and has fun with accounting. Well, not really fun, per se. That’s prohibited by Section 3.4\b of the tax code.

In your article you talk about the “recording industry” but actually it’s the “music publishing industry” you want to throw some ire at. They are two different, uh, industries. It has only been lately that the publishers have been demanding their due. F’rinstance, going after lyrics sites:

They are a few years behind the recording industry on their litigation fervor, but they are doing one thing smart: they are not whining very publicly like the RIAA. They are just suing without fanfare. I wish somebody like the Macalope would look into this.
Actually, the singer’s name is Sarah McLachlan, not McLaughlin. Unless there’s another singer out there of whom I haven’t heard.
