Actually, we might have already gotten a whiff of it, in the form of the iPhone, and I'm not just talking about the UI of OS X. If you look closely in <a href="http://www.apple.com/iphone/ads/ad4/" rel="nofollow">Watered Down</a>, you'll see a drop-down menu that appears to have a very similar look and feel that of iTunes 7. OS X needs some cleaning up when it comes to visual style. I never got why some apps were metal, some Aqua and others downright hard core stripey when I switched 4 years ago (not even mentioning Classic of course) until eventually I heard about the history of Cocoa, NeXT and Carbon.
